Accounts Payable Administrator (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Position Summary

Forbes Bros has an immediate opening for an energetic, self-motivated Accounts Payable (AP) Administrator in our Edmonton office, for a Temporary Maternity Leave coverage.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, or related studies, preferred but not required; or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum 2-5 years’ experience processing full cycle accounts payable
  • Purchasing Card (P-Card) experience
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize work, and effectively meet deadlines
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of the procurement process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Procurement card management would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Viewpoint (VP) software would be considered an asset


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Full cycle accounts payable
  • Processing monthly expense claims
  • Reconciling vendor statements
  • Following up with internal and external clients on outstanding invoices and responding to invoice inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with filing functions as required
  • Other administrative duties as required
