This path took 40 years.

1977 - 1987

Forbes Bros Ltd. is established by three hard-working brothers, Mark, Earl and Rob Forbes, in Saskatchewan, Canada. Later in this era a rebrand takes place and Remcon Ltd. is established.

1987-1997

Overall capacity is increased in distribution operations, underground infrastructure, and transmission line construction. Remcon Ltd. continues to firmly establish itself in the Canadian markets.

1997-1999

Strong work ethic and determination fuels Remcon's steady growth in Western Canada. During this period Remcon initiates an acquisition strategy to further ourselves throughout Western Canada.

1999-2009

Through continued success in the market, Remcon's family experiences further growth through the acquisition of RS Line Contr. Co. Ltd. while continuing a successful western Canadian expansion.

2009-2017

RS Line experiences growth via extensive, nation-wide electrical infrastructure build. A rebranding occurs, Forbes Bros. Ltd. becomes the parent company following a series of acquisitions.

2017-2019

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies further establishes itself as a North American wide organization with the acquisitions of FB Timberline (South Dakota), FB Titan (Wyoming), and FB Valley (BC).

“The safety culture at Forbes is unique”

Each and every person who works here believes in and supports our safety program. Not because they feel that they have to, but rather because they believe in it and feel/see the value in safety success. I know that my coworkers are looking out for me and vice versa.

“Forbes Bros is a family business and everyone treats you like family”

I really enjoy working with my team, we work in a fast-paced environment, but we still have fun. Forbes also takes the time to show they value their employees. You are not just a number. Forbes plans social activities throughout the year for their employees which I feel are very important to network with everyone.

“I would like to express my gratitude towards your company on completing your scope on the Pembina rail project on time and on budget”

I would like to express my gratitude towards your company on completing your scope on the Pembina rail project on time and on budget. Specifically, I want to mention that Forbes did not have any safety incidents on this project and that is rare. Considering the number of light poles Forbes installed (ground disturbance), fixtures/line installations (climbing poles) and working within a live rail yard (congested area) with numerous lines crossing live tracks. I’m pleased with the efforts from your company and I would refer Forbes to any company requiring your services.
